Table Designs [Big images] Well, for my Construction Tech class(A.K.A. Wood Shop), we had to build a table. Simple enough, but too simple. Me and a friend of mine were working together on it and decided to woodburn an image into the top, bottom, and down at least one of the legs. Then we were going to stain it a really nice dark brown.
Well, in my opinion, it worked out beautifully. We did an underside thing, mainly as practise, then used the vine branching out from it to go down one of the legs. Then we started to do the top design.
Underside Design
I screwed up on this a slight bit, but I was able to recover the curve nicely. Though, it still looks kinda lop-sided.
Leg Design
The vines in the previous picture ended up continuing outwards and spiraling down this one leg. I was pretty happy with this.
Top Design
This is probably the one part of the table that I'm the most proud of. There were little to no mistakes, and it looked really nicely after we stained it.
My friend drew all the designs, since I'm not any good at drawing anything yet, and my proportions suck. I ended up woodburning everything since my friend wanted nothing to do with it. I think we made a pretty good team.
Our ending mark was 9/10. 90%.
We lost a few marks due to a hidden, but forgotten rough patch that we didn't sand down, and a spacing where we glued the legs. Other than that, we were praised for having the best table in the class.
All the pictures are of before we stained it.

Wow! I want to eat off that table...
The leg looks really cool, and the wolf image is very professional.
