i think i underestimated the iPhone...
^ monkey ball ^ spore the lack of a dpad and buttons hurt it as a gaming device, but i didn't realize it could pull off what was shown above. while monkey ball looks a little jaggy, apple must have built this thing with gaming in mind if that port of spore is comparable with the pc version. and i didn't realize it had motion sensing until now... that means its gaming capabilities would be comparable to combining a wii with a ds. you've got your touch screen and your waggle in one device. nintendo might be fucked if the iphone does well as a gaming device.

$600 dollars is still a turn off...

When SSBDS comes out (if it ever does) and some real 3D Zelda adventure, plus Pokemon, the iPhone is dead. Besides, that's not to impressive, considering my Sony Ericsson can run 3D, and its not as expensive as the iphone.

Besides, that's not to impressive, considering my Sony Ericsson can run 3D, and its not as expensive as the iphone. The iPhone's CPU is twice the speed of the PSP's. More than that if we're talking about an unhacked PSP (620 MHz) It also has more memory than the Wii (128 MB DRAM) Technically, the iPhone blows the DS and most other cell phones out of the water. Depending on how much of its specs are 100% devoted to the OS, it could be on par with the Wii or PS2. Downplay its role in the game industry, but don't downplay its capabilities. Unlike Nintendo, Apple has create a very competent device.
